August 2006:

Hello all.  We know it's been a while since we have last been in contact, but just letting you know the old saying is definitely true in our case...... " Still Waters Run Deep " ?  We three have been very active both individually and ocassionally as a collective.

Here's a small insight into the world of " Gone to Earth  2006 ".

The band met in Melbourne earlier this month to kick around some unrecorded material that will form the basis of a new release that will be recorded in the coming months. We all felt that the band was finding it's feet with some new songs we performed back in 2004. There are some fine songs here that we are eager to record. We are currently trying to co-ordinate how to make it happen. We will probably record the bed tracks here in Melbourne, and from there, we may work on the songs individually. The new songs include ( for all who saw the last shows we did in 2004 )....... Time, Inch by Inch, Freckles, Stamp a Smile, Tunic, Girls in the Summer, Monster's House, Magentic North, Slow Mo

Here's a quick update on what we have all been doing.

Toby has been extremely busy with his touring commitments with acts such as.... The Audreys, Andrew Strong, The Huckleberry Swedes, Brian Cadd, Bill Chambers ( father of Kasey ).  Toby also toured the U.S. with alt-rockers Veruca Salt late last year.

Paul has been touring and recording with.... David Bndie ( Live and Sessions ) Telek ( PNG singer / songwriter ) John Schumann ( Touring ) Brian Cadd ( Touring ) Not Drowning, Waving ( remixed a track on the new NDW remix album ' Maps for Sonic Adventurers' )

Paul is also recording an album with his own band that includes members of " The Dumb Earth " and " Heligoland

20th October 2005- Hi all, A quick update on whats going on in the diverse and busy world of GTE:

> Toby is currently crossing the U.S.A on a six week tour banging the skins for US alt rock band Veruca Salt . He has also been playing the odd gig with Melbourne band 'Prettymess'
